Citizens will receive dedicated training provided jointly by CNU and VAB, enabling them to promptly report risk situations such as rising river levels, ground movements, or active landslides.
This will allow for faster response and more effective preventive action.
Cooperation with Authorities
The Environmental Sentinels will act as a bridge between local communities and public institutions, with the support of CNU and VAB.
They will provide real-time updates on emergencies and contribute to a more efficient management of territorial and environmental resources.
Promoting Environmental Awareness
A key role of the Sentinels will be to raise awareness among residents on the importance of prevention, territorial care, and compliance with environmental protection regulations.
Training and Prevention
The Sentinels will receive specialized training on hydrogeological risks, first aid techniques, and evacuation procedures, becoming a fundamental resource for local civil protection systems.
This initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of local communities, enhance their collective sense of responsibility toward environmental protection, and reduce the overall impact of natural disasters through cooperation, prevention, and civic engagement.
