PRESS RELEASE – 06 FEBRUARY 2026

Institutional dialogues initiated with Ministries of Foreign Affairs in countries where CNU is already active

The Confederation of Humanitarian Nations (CNU) announces that meetings and institutional dialogues are currently underway with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of several countries in which the Confederation is already carrying out humanitarian, social, and educational activities.

These dialogues form part of a process aimed at consolidating and providing an institutional framework for initiatives already implemented on the ground, with the objective of ensuring a clear cooperation framework, compliant with applicable national regulations and fully coordinated with the competent authorities.

During the meetings, operational programmes that are already the subject of field activities are presented and discussed, particularly in the following areas:

  • Promotion and protection of human rights, with specific attention to the rights of minors, the protection of individuals in situations of vulnerability, and the dissemination of a culture of fundamental rights through educational and informational activities;

  • Education, training, and community awareness, through civic, environmental, and social education programmes, participatory workshops, and initiatives aimed at fostering civic responsibility;

  • Social cooperation and community support, through non-assistance-based projects oriented toward autonomy, active participation, and social cohesion;

  • Strengthening of local capacities, through the exchange of good practices, project accompaniment, and methodological support;

  • Civic participation and environmental awareness initiatives, conceived as educational tools and forms of civic observation of the territory, without operational functions or any substitution of public authorities.

The CNU’s intervention model is grounded in the principles of neutrality, legality, transparency, and respect for state competences, valuing the contribution of local communities and human capital as central elements of social development processes.

The meetings with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs are institutional and consultative in nature and are intended to define shared operational modalities, ensuring that both ongoing activities and those under development are carried out in an orderly, sustainable manner and in full coherence with the respective legal systems.

The Confederation of Humanitarian Nations will continue this path of institutional dialogue in accordance with the applicable timelines and procedures, reserving the right to provide further communications upon completion of the ongoing phases of consultation.
